How to send love this Valentine’s Day
Valentine’s Day is going to look a little different from the year’s past, but that doesn’t mean your love has to change. Due to the worldwide pandemic we are in, the typical date nights, dinners, hugs, and quality time together are going to be scarce this year, but you can still profess your love for those in your life in many different ways. If you are looking for ways to show those in your life that you care, we are here to help.
How to send love this Valentine’s Day:
- Phone Calls
- Virtual Visits
- Care Packages
- Cards
Phone Calls
Let’s take it back, way back to when people would call each other on the phone. Phone calls have never gone out of style because they are a great way to stay in touch with those you love. Call your loved ones up and see how they are, ask what they’ve been up to, how they are feeling, and what they are excited about. Phone calls can be long or short — but calling someone up to just hear their voice is special and will be greatly appreciated.
Virtual Visits
Virtual Visits have taken on new life in recent months as social distancing is strongly suggested to stop the spread of COVID-19. Scheduling a virtual visit with your loved one at their assisted living facility is a great way to see them and hear their voice. It’s definitely a step up from the traditional phone call. Virtual visits don’t have to be done just on Valentine’s Day, but they can be done all year long.
Care Packages
Who doesn’t love to receive goodies in the mail? You can send off a care package or drop one off at someone’s doorstep. Whatever you decide, your loved one will be excited to see that they have mail from you. Fill it with all of their favorite things, whether it’s things that they want or things that they need they will be happy to open the box just to see what is inside.
Cards
Sending a handwritten card to your loved one is a great way to share your love. Cards don’t have to be sent just on Valentine’s Day, but they can be sent all year round. Ask them to write back, send photos, or updates on what you and the kids are up to these days. Personalizing your card is a great way to add an extra special touch, to an already special gesture.
