National Nursing Home Week
We celebrated National Nursing Home Week by filling the week with special events, a family potluck, and all kinds of activities with the staff and residents. We had the Boonshoft Museum bring in their Animals Alive presentation, welcomed the Rhinestone & Roses Dance Troop, and had a community dog show of over 15 different breeds represented to entertain everyone. Over 60 family members joined us for a special dinner and we got to sample many of the” family” special desserts that they provided. Our staff and residents played games all week and was treated to a special breakfast of omelets that they got to enjoy together.
St. Patty’s Day Event
Everyone enjoyed dressing up in the green of the Irish. Residents, family, and staff enjoyed the day that was filled with music and fun. We were treated to some traditional Irish dance provided by the Dayton Academy of Irish Dance.
